Had a great matchplay game in the rollup yesterday. First time I have ever been under par on the par 3s (-1), first time in contact lenses - didn't like it but since found out I probably put the wrong lens in the left eye (!!!) - took them out after 9 and had 2 birdies coming back. First time with my new satnav - a lot better than the ones on my blackberry. We came back from 3 down after 7 to level after 13, halved the next 2 against with 1 puts and went 1 down on 16. The other 3 were on the green in 2 on 17 (my partner was not close) but we need a birdie - my best shot of the day with a gap wedge stops 2 foot from the flag for a birdie. It is all looking bad on 18, they are singing "money, money, money", I am out of it - the player on the other team off 22 is on in 3 about 30 foot above the flag, with a shot, my partner is 20 yards short in 2 with the pin at the front - meaning a tricky shot - he nails it to 4 foot below the flag, the other team 3 put for a 6 and my partner knocks it in for a par!! Job done!! Really good fun game.
