A few firsts today

1) First solo round

2) First sub-100 (par 72- came in at 98 - 49 front, 49 back)

3) First time ive had the pressure of having to tee off while a four-ball watches - they had already tee'd off- I played a 4 iron straight, while they stood aside (thank you gentlemen) down the middle and a 6 iron onto the green!

I'm chuffed to bits, the weather has been great in Herts. and I ended up catching up the club secretary and a playing companion who let me join their group and had a fantastic time.

I even got a chance to hit a Titleist driver off the White's on the 18th(courtesy of one of my companions) - smacked it down the middle over water. What a rush!...and what a club.

Had a great day and one i'm not likely to forget for a long time.

This is the sort of day that makes the pain worthwhile.

Know it's no big deal to the more experienced on here but i'm sure you can reach back and remember how that felt- great!

Ended up in the pub watching the Masters - come on Sandy!

Well done bill another milestone reached and thats how we have to view this great game it's a marathon not a sprint.
Always looking to get through the next barrier but remembering to take in the views on the way.

Nice one Bill!! its now hard to do it again.

Breaking the 100 was my first milestone and I just need to be-able to do it in a club comp, however, when I have a scorecard the game leaves me totally.

Excellent work Billy, I remember how happy i was when i broke 100 for the 1st time.

I'm flirting between 95 and 105 at the moment so atleast i suppose i can say i'm consistent. Anything below a ton at the moment leaves me chuffed to bits though.

Good man Billy, you are right its definately something you wont forget what will surprise you though is how quickly your target becomes 90 now, getting below 100 is one thing but once you can do that consecutively a few times your game will just seem to click together that little bit better now and 90 will be your nemesis for a few months now!
