As I posted previously, I enjoyed the Open immensely over the weekend especially as I could couch potato it and watch it all.

I think one of the things that made it so enjoyable was the distinct lack of whoops, hollers, you de mans and get in the hole outbursts we seem to be getting accustomed to over the pond.
Sure, there was much whistling, cheers and general enthusiastic applause. Quite nice to see.
 
I did remark to the missus that it was nice to be able to watch the golf with the sound on for once...no moronic get in da hole (on a par 5) , you da man , whoop whoop etc etc
 
I agree although there were a few "USA USA" chants as Cink accepted the trophy but overall it made SUCH a refreshing change to see well behaved and knowledgable galleries and not drunken idiots thinking it was an NFL match
 
There were a few 'get-in-da-hole' but at least they seemed to be reserved for those occasions where there was a chance of it happening - not the tee-shot on a par five.
