Do you have a comfortable yardage for your pitch shots?

I seem to have two. The shorter being 65-70yrds with a 52 degrese wedge. Its not a full out swing but a nice comfortable half swing, it'll take a hop and then stop.
The longer one is 115-120yrds, again with a 52 degree wedge. This is a nice full swing without being a madman swinging an axe. It'll take a hop and then screwback. Has to be played aggressively.

The only reason I ask is the guys I play with don't know what they hit each club with each swing. Their short game is pretty poor but only because they pick up the club that feels right, not the one which is right for the yardage.

(These are winter yardages with greens playing like dart boards)

I tend to hit my PW 100 yards with a decent controlled full swing. My 52 goes about 85 and my 58 about 65. I tend to use a nice 10 o'clock swing with my 52 to fill the gap between the 58 and my 52

Just getting used to my new wedges now and the same half swing (arms parallel to ground back and through) will go 65, 75, or 85 depending on which wedge I use.

If I was forced to pick a favourite distance I'd say 100yds which is a 3/4 swing with my 51°.

My regular track has a red dot marking in the fairway to indicate 100yds out... When laying up I try to get adjacent[ish] to this... As, I know, depending on conditions its generally either my wedge or gap wedge that I need to get on the green...

for me it's around 110yrds.....i seem to love that distance and i prefer to use my 48* and play a 3/4 shot.i get more control with the ball and seem to judge it better.

when i try and play the full shot from this range i start to lose it a little bit.

120 with my pw. I really struggle with 40/50 yards over something! I know it's technique more than anything! Am currently working on a half gap wedge swing..... Thin city here I come!!!
