Just to say a BIG Thank you to all that have kept my head going.... Iv never really met anyone on here but it strange in a way i feel like i know a lot of you personally.....

Its great to be able to share goals and achievements with like minded people as my playing partners sometime dont show the same level of enthusiasm as i do.....

I played tonight in an Open Singles and finished with 36 points off my new handicap so i now know it can be done....

Al..... Fir the past 3 months or so I was touching breaking 80 a few times... I just couldn't get over the hurdle... Iv a pretty good game... To be honest I have a decent short game.. it gets me out of a lot of awkward situations.... My iron play is probably my best asset...... But its my driving that I have to tighten up..... That's been my Achilles heel for as long as I know.... The problem is I get a bit quick from the top and my hips go to fast... Everything else then has to play catch up and I'm not skilled enough yet to save it with my hands which ends up in me pushing shots right.... When there's a lot of trouble right that's the last thing you want.... For the last 5 rounds iv purposely stopped trying to draw the longer clubs and open up slightly to hit a push fade and its been an eye opener.... Iv hit more fairways with the driver the past few rounds than I have all year.... You can go at the ball as hard as you like without having to worry about loosing it right.... If I can tighten up my play off the tee ill cut another 1 or 2 strokes I think.... But I can't complain about my progress this year anyway...... Keep chipping away pal.... Like what happened me.. your only one good round away from a good chop

Ye I am really feeling it like no other time, all parts of my game are in good shape and that is not always the case but you know what.... I am just LOVING playing golf right now and that is the best bit. I am enjoying chipping and putting so much and its making a big difference.

Talking of off the tee I have Fundy`s driver in the bag right now, he is a monster so his driver is 75 grams and I can hit is as hard as I like and actually it has to be as hard as I can and there is no way to lose it right. You can hook it but the ball still seems to get down in time. Fun....

im hitting the buffer pretty often few 38 pointers with no cuts , few good rounds that should have been better ,, I think im playing good golf, but dont seem to be geting lower .. aim for year was 5, id settle for geting back to 7 curently ..

Hopefuly all your good positive vibes will rub off on the rest of us .. keep up the good work , well done :thup: :clap:
