Good Morning everyone,

As you may or may not know I've arranged a charity Golf Day for March 20th to raise money for Childrens Heart Foundation and Alzheimers Awareness.

I posted on the forum a month or so ago asking if anyone wanted to play or if anyone could donate anything as a prize. I had a very limited response which is understandable in the current climate however GoKart have gone above and beyond the Call of Duty on this one.

GoKart have donated a brand new electric trolley which i believe retails at £194, and as many of you on here already know it's a fantatic bit of kit. A £50 GoKart voucher would have been generous so you can imagine how delighted I am with this fantastic donation. It was our man Sandy who made it happen aswell so a big thank you to him and his efforts.

So the next time you are looking to buy a trolley just remember the generosity GoKart have made to two great causes.

Once again, Thank you GoKart, Sandy, and the GM forum.

Minty

That’s fantastic! Was planning on buying one with next months pay but hopefully will win that one.

Have not heard a bad word about the company, They have a great website and product.

If you win it HTL we're definitely getting on the beer.

I just love it when people think I'm a hairy Scotsman (nothing wrong with hairy scotsmen of course...) It just would have been fun to turn up to a regional meet and shock you all...

Good News Minty,

Just to point out though, Sandy is a Woman

Now I feel like Sandy has mislead me. I've exchanged many an email with Sandy over the past fortnight and at no point has this wonderful lady ever mentioned this.

I almost feel like i've missed out on a great opportunity to flirt with a generous women who loves everything golf..... gutted!

As GoKart are based in Kent you should try and get Sandy out on one of your fairly regular Southern meets.

from my research i believe Sandy used to be a pro. Now I dont mind playing golf with women but playing with women who can hit the ball further than me would be a big no no! I'm not sure my pride could take that kind of a pasting.

No offence Sandy. Maybe we could play but you're only allowed to tee off with an iron? It'll still probly go further than my 3wood but atleast i'll have a chance.

I am a Go-Kart fan for life, and the above act of generosity by them just reinforces what a great company they are.
I'm just surprised that they haven't yet offered me a free brolly holder for my fantastic review in this months Golf Monthly magazine (read by millions)...
:D

I think Smiffys review was a fair piece on the quality of the product and the service of the company. To be fair his original article was much more in depth but the finished piece in the magazine was whittled down to meet layout constraints.

I think they should sweep the board at any golf industry awards for the product and especially their service pre and after sales. A huge thumbs up for their generosity and let hope they get many more converts from here. If anyone does purchase a new (or refurbished) go kart it may be worth telling them it was based on the forum recommendations so they know they have a loyal customer base and that the gospel is being spread

Yes, good to hear of a company giving support like that in the current climate. Good on them.

Just hope the whole event goes well when it happens.

Will it make the Forum pages in the mag ? There must be a few of the local forum members playing surely ?

I'm very pleased with my Go Kart too, and the service is exemplary. I've had a couple of minor problems with mine since buying (charger stopped working and umbrella fitting broke), both times replacement parts were on my doorstep the next day.

Note to anyone fitting the umbrella holder, when you tighten up the screws, do it very very lightly. I tightened the first screw fine but somehow managed to snap the fitting with half a turn of the second screw.

Go Kart get two thumbs up from me. (trousers are in the post Sandy :-)

GB - thanks for that, but we need no encouragement down here! ;)

I have just taken delivery of a brand new shiny red GoKart, have test-driven it over the weekend and am delighted with it. (It was as a result of seeing MedwayJon with his that I decided to invest). Had a problem with the charger, but I had hardly finished writing the note explaining the problem when I received a replacement in the post

It is quite obviously a good product from a good company, and I'm impressed with their generous attitude towards this issue. It's good marketing but that doesn't alter the fact that they have made the offer where others have been reluctant.

I hope the exposure in GM and the positives vibes from the Forum yield results for GoKart.

I saw MWJ with his on Saturday at Lydd. Although not a hilly track it handled the course well was really quiet and looked easy to put together. I think if/when I'm in the market for one there really is only one real choice especially given the price of Powakaddy etc and the problems and horror stories I've heard and the lousy customer service from said problems.

Certainly GoKart have always made sense to me. Have had one pretty much since they were released and it has been excellent. Whilst all the other companies are concentrating on loading their trollies with gimics and upping the price, GoKart seem to be concentrating on the important bits, making a good affordable trolley at a great price with top customer service.
