Occasional Tour Caddy
Interesting reading and while not common I wonder if we need any at all or is this a good thing and I'm missing something
Something a little bit different. Has created a bit of interest which the event would probably have not received.
I like the read, one player Drive, 3 wood, 3 wood, 2 putts for Birdie.
Have you ever seen some pros with a wood in their hand.
They make me look accurate.
Pointless for your average hacker admittedly.
Leaving 130yds for a wedge for gir? What's the problem?that was who I was aiming at, Mr average club golfer. Forget forum averages and all that, 230 is a good knock for a lot of club golfers off the tee. Then a 3w is 210, so drive and 2 well hit 3 woods would get them 650 yards down the hole and that is if they catch all 3 spot on. I just hope that par 6s don't start to creep onto your average golf course. I think those holes would turn into a slow play magnet when you get people trying to hack there way down it.
What's the point in it, I just don't get it. So you stand on the tee, hit driver, 3w, 3w and you will be somewhere near.or on the green. Why not just take a couple of hundred yards off it and have a long par 5. Par 6 holes are just a pointless entity that just adds an extra 3w shot on a hole.
