Searching through looking for a new driver today and found this website. Has anyone used it before, can it be trusted it all seems legit.

Was watching BBC news channel this morning and they were doing an item of fake goods sold on the internet. One of the companies briefly shown on the monitor was the 711store, which sells various goods. So it is true. Seems a company doesn't have to be in Britain to register a co.uk address either, most of the companies being in China. So even if it says co.uk at the end, it could still be bogus. A tip is to click on the padlock icon at the bottom of the page if it shows as secure and some limited info about the company will appear.

Cheap, cheap, cheap!!??

Warning. Mild pompous rant coming up.

I'm sure I'll be corrected - but here goes.

If you are working (PAYE), in the private sector or in the public sector chances are that you're better off than you were a year ago. Interest rate drops affecting your mortgage and other debts like credit cards. If you're in the public sector, chances are that you aren't likely to be made redundant.

So why aren't you spending your money? Particularly here in the UK?

UK businesses are struggling, the less we spend, the more the retailers drop prices to attract business. Problem is that MFI (or whoever) has a huge sale because it sees the end of it's life coming. So folks buy from there. In order to get some business another competitor drops it's prices and guess what, it makes no profit and has to close or lay people off.

The threat of losing your job, stops you from spending as much money, or at least makes you buy from the cheapest source. Thus the circle continues. More companies go apex over base, and more people are made redundant. Capitialisum, but just in reverse.

Ignore all the flipping rubbish on TV and keep your job secure by spending the extra cash that you're saving on your mortgage (from interest rate drops), with UK services that do provide a service. If that means paying a few quid more than the cheap providers that don't provide a service, then so be it.

I've not once seen someone on here complain about the price they paid for something. Only the lack of service that they had. You've found the solution yourselves.

I could have made this a very long one. But this will suffice.

Sorry. Rant over.

Back to golf.

Andy.

That wasn't the point of the post. As you're probably aware.

I was merely making the point in relation to price, service and the damn awful situation that we find ourselves in.

It is only my opinion. Buy whatever from wherever you like.

You must feel very secure in your line of work.

None of them keep trying.

Andy
