Assistant Pro
Hi all. Following on from a thread I posted last week I have a few updates.
Firstly my Pro reckons the difference in clubhead speed I found was partly down to the equipment used to measure. He uses GC2 and my fitter uses Trackman. He had some complicated algorithm which essentially means that my head speed had only (only??) moved up 8 or so MPH not the 12 I first thought.
However the fact remains that a jump from 82 MPH to 90+ MPH is a significant move when it comes without you thrashing at the ball.
Subsequent to my lesson I spent the weekend with others from my club at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth, where I picked up the overall win, YAY!!
Over the 3 days naturally as this Reverse K or Right Sided swing came under pressure I wasnt able to get it right all the time, but when I did get set up right it was really something e.g. on their 3d hole (445 yds) I hit 3 wood and pitching wedge on the first day, and on the 6th (473) I hit 3 wood and 7 iron on two of the days.
To bring some balance it must be noted that the ground was firm and I got plenty of run but I am still blown away by the yardages.
Like I said in the first thread this is absolutely not an "Look at me arent I special" posting!! I just think this might be worth a closer look if you are struggling for yards or need to move your ball striking forward.
