Morning all.

I've been struggling a bit recently on the course which culminated in the putter ending up in two pieces during a pairs match last week!

Obviously needed to get a new one sorted, so popped to see the pro I use. What started as a shopping trip ended up a putting lesson, and I came away with a new toy (a Yes Tracy 2) and a new improved technique.

Got the chance to put it into action yesterday (ignore the pun ) against last years club captain in the quarter finals of the club matchplay. He's off 6, leading the order of merit and in the final of the scratch knockout.

Started off losing the first, then only lost one more by the end of the 12th, and walked off with an embarrassing 7&6 win, mainly down to 6 one putts! Never missed within 10 ft, it was unreal.

Best advice I've got - get to your pro, have a putting lesson and that's where the shots will drop!

Now playing the clubs biggest hitter in the semis which will be fun.....

What's a dog licence?? (setting myself up here aren't I ?? )

Used to be that dog owners in this country had to buy a licence to keep a dog.
Said licence cost 7 shillings and sixpence (commonly written as 7/6d. And was adopted into golfing parlance to describe a victory of 7 holes up with 6 to play. :p

Cheers, hopefully get to use it again one day!
