Yo wondrous people. Not heard enough noise about this with the exception of the marvellous TXL so please tell us all. What was it like? What did you love? What could have been better? Who was the best? Who was the worst? Any funny stories? Anyone clear the back fence? If they did was there a siren and loads of coins dumped on that person's head? Did it get you in the mood for Augusta? Did it change your opinions of driving range golf? Would you go again? Spill the beans peole!!!! Silence is not an option ;)

Thanks in advance

I managed to hit the roof of the range:o
To be honest I didn't think a lot of it, you use an app to tell you which target to hit the ball at, you then tell the app where your ball ended up and you are awarded points for accuracy. I can see why it would be a bit of fun for a few lads/ladies to have a little game, especially if the weather is bad, but for me it was all a bit gimmicky, and far too open to cheating.
Don't just take my word for it though, some of the other guys were really positive about it, give it a go and make up your own mind!

Really enjoyed it myself. For me, the best part is being able to make range practice a little more competitive. Each shot matters and so goes a little way to making it more like a round. As for cheating it really is a case of what you put in you get out, if you cheat you are only cheating yourself in the long run, and if you are playing with others obviously they can see what you hit (or not).
Although I wouldn't use it every time I was at the range I would use it to vary my practice.

To add a Masters feel we had to play shots as if we were playing 6 of the holes from Augusta. So drive then second etc.Points awarded with max for centre of fairway/green then less for fringe etc. Then prizes were Masters based. An original masters watching chair, masters balls and so on, aswell of course as some great GM prizes!.I'm no good with names so can't remember who won, all be it to say it wasn't me!

Cool :) What holes did you play? 11-16 or a random selection?
