6 months of wind now!

Played a round with some buddies today. 4 club wind! Hitting knock down 3 or 4-irons from 150 yards. Welcome to the east coast. Made me realise that the only "proper" swings I'm gonna get in until March are up at the range.

Just when it was getting nice, too.

Sounds unbearable, sometimes it's a good challenge to play in the wind and it's enjoyable. But not every round! you must be an expert at playing in the wind now, maybe you should enter opens on really windy courses, show us inlanders how to play proper links golf!

OOhh, sounds grim. I don't mind clubbing up but doesn't it just exagerate slices/hooks!

Not the way it used to, Dave. These new balls just seem to bore through the wind more than they used to. Thank God! It's when the wind blows your putter-head all over the place on the backswing that I go mental.
