58 today in a betterball medal score in a Board Comp too.

11 under.

It was just a dream round. We even had room for a dropped shot in that score as well.

I finished it off nicely by absolutely stiffing my tee shot into the par three 18th for a birdie and the cherry on top of the icing on an already lovely looking cake.

My parter and I absolutely demolished the field finishing 4 shots clear in not the easiest of conditions.

Took a load of stick in the clubhouse for such an outrageous score, but who cares? Not me. I'm still smiling.

What's the betting 0.1 in the medal on Wedneday? :D

what a great score me and my partner finished with a 56 in a comp last year had 13 shots to use and used none of them we ended up 13 under and 5 clear of the feild

:D Well done.

What was your gross (do you know?) ignoring all the other stuff. Sounds jolly impressive.

@RGDAVE
Mate, that score was his gross ! :p

think you'll fine it was THEIR Nett

Thanks Nikon.

11 under par/nett 58 is the betterball score.

I'm interested to understand just how good this score is (which it is!). For example, two players off 9 parring every hole between them would be a gross betterball score of par, irrespective of handicap.

A very decent score Dave. Was that 3/4 handicap for each player?
But...
We were meant to be playing away at a 4BBB Open but it got cancelled. So the eight guys that were supposed to be playing in our group had our own little sweep.Me and my partner were gross 70(level) net 62. but came second to a 56, they were 8 under scratch! The only time i've seen scores like that were Texas scrambles with a group of low cat 1's

We shot one over par.gross which isn't bad from 12 and 16 handicaps.

It must have been due to the clean Scottish air, wonderful scenery, fresh local smoked salmon, boat trips across to the islands and Knoydart etc that relaxed you so much that you blew the field away.

Great shooting.
