Anyone use a 5 hybrid.

I have to admit that I didn't know these existed until a mate mentioned them yesterday.

But seeing as generally I hit my other longer hybrids more consistently than I do my 5 iron I'd certainly think about getting one of these if the feedback was positive.

I've got a 4,5,and 6 hybrid as part of my Adams 12 os iron set and I absolutely love them, easy to hit from tee to fairway and the rough. You do tend to get a few more yards out of a hybrid but as long as you know your distances then they are no different to a normal iron , just a bit more versatile.

I have a 5 hybrid to replace my 4 iron. Its 24.5 degrees and works a dream. I bought it solely for hitting higher shots into greens and very rarely take it off the tee

I carry 3,4,5 and 6 hybrids.
I've been told they are old mans clubs but I think they are fantastic. Easy to hit and agree with the comments they are probably a club longer. When hit properly the 5 and 6 land nice and soft. That's what I was looking for. If I hit a bad one they generally stay straight but go super high.

Thats a lot of hybrids there mate.

Never had any issues with hitting long irons so happy to use my 4 and 5 irons. I do like the 3 hybrid though. I couldn't see myself with a 5 or 6H but each to their own and there is not right or wrong way

I'm trying a 4 and a 6 RBZ hybrid this year! had them for a while now but not been able to get on the course properly!

They both seem to have a higher flight and hopefully will help my approach shots when the courses get playable again!

I've also got the "old man's clubs" Adams 4, 5, & 6 A3OS boxer hybrids and I absolutely love them, I'm on the lookout for a 3 hybrid if anyone knows of one for sale.

Never had the notion to use a hybrid and like someone said on this thread I think they are for the older more mature Gent.

Y E Yang won a Major (2009 PGA) with a bag full of them - coming from (a long way) behind to beat Tiger!

Wouldn't call him 'older'. Perhaps just 'wiser'!

I have a Mizuno JPX 825, 25 degree, 5 hybrid. To be honest it hits the ball the same distance as most 4 hybrids or a 7 wood at 170-180 yds. It's is my go to club as I can hit this from almost any lie and can vary distance and flight with ease. I also have the 19 degree, 3 hybrid and this has knocked my 5 wood out of the bag.

I have one that I still use regularly that I picked up when I first started playing with a slazenger starter set, they've long gone but separately I bought a 25 degree slazenger hybrid which I kept simply because it wasn't part of the set and was noticeably better quality than the starter clubs (I know its still a slazenger so 'better' is relative)

Never seen one like it since and there's no pictures of it online that I've found, probably the most exclusive club I have!
