5 Club Competition

Whoever thought that this ridiculous competition should be played on a Sunday morning rather than play it in the middle of the night in mid December?

Ok, I played like an eejit, but why would I ever practice playing a half shot with a 5 iron when every other week I have exactly the right club for the shot needed. When would I be staring up the face of a bunker thats like the north face of the Eiger, with only a gap wedge in the bag, to try and extricate myself from the wet sand where a sand iron with more bounce than Tigger is sitting in the boot of my car?

I am not sure that even the driver, where I would normally use one, was the right choice, and, to cap it all, it was raining on the first Sunday that the hose pipe ban has be introduced.

i was the opposite, cept i had only 3 clubs and a putter, and played the best i ever have round my track, come today with a full bag i played s#*t and wanna sell my clubs and quit the game got tomorrows 2BBB to pick me up tho....i hope

Always liked this comp, mainly for the 2 challenges involved - picking the clubs and playing shots not normally played. When I went back up to Scotland, it was in one of these comps that I first scored 36 points in - after about 2 and a half months of 0.1s!
