+5 but nowhere close

Played in an open singles at our place today.... Turned +4 and came home +1 for a gross 76 and 40 points.... The sad thing is I won't even be close with that score to taking some honours.... All in all a great deal better than the tripe I played last week.. Down with a flu and no energy and despite my partners telling me to go in after 9 for a warm cuppa I battled on as I wouldn't give in to it and NR..... Finished my round and first Medal of the season with a 22 over par 98.... Shocking...

But this week was like night and day compared to last weekend.. You play like a hack one week and come out the week after like your being sponsored..... Funny ol game at times....

If only pal...I'm blaming last week on the flu and having meetings with myself while standing over the ball on the tee....

Not sure yet Homer.... At +5 i might not even have lowest gross.... The course was playing relatively short.... Its mainly playing off the Society tees in places as they are trying to get the best from the main medal tees... There's heaps of work going on at the moment even though the season has fully kicked off we are still on lift and clean rules because of the weather.....

At this time of the year even though those rules are in place i wont pick up my ball unless i really have a mud problem or it has plugged... It gets me used to the normal playing conditions coming back in once the weather picks up.
