Played the 1st round of our Captains Prize Knockout,matchplay format,oppo off 2, me off 10,full diff,so i am getting 8 shots,shook hands on the 14th after winning 5 & 4,hit everything out of the middle,my oppo was odds on favourite to win the trophy outright,and he is my best mate,is this a hollow victory ?

Not at all. You thrashed someone by hitting it out of the middle - go have a pint and put your feet up, you've earned it Golf is about what happened on the right day at the right time - today is your day. Onwards and upwards into the next round of the comp
