Could someone please explain how to fill out a scorecard in a 4BBB stableford comp. do I put our top score in the markers box and put their highest points in the right hand boxes or does each player we are playing against have their own box and put whoever scores most points down in there individual box for the hole?
Sorry for what may seem a basic question!

I normally put our top score in the marker box

And have an indivdual gross score for each player who scores and then put the highest Stableford score into the points box

Put one of the other guys gross score per hole (and points, if you want to) in A and the other guys in B. At the side you can just put the better points score of the two. Its easier to total up their score after each 9 then.

If both players have made the same score put the gross score in the column of the one who holed out first and the points in the points columns depending on whether there is anyone receiving a shot

I only fill in the column for the players whose score counts on each hole. I feel it makes it a lot easier for whoever is checking the card or entering the scores into the computer.

Something no-one else has mentioned so I might be alone in doing this, but as well as putting our (my team) best score in the markers column, I also put a letter next to it to denote which of us had that score just in case anything needs checking after the round.

Similar but different . If it's my score it goes in marker column on left hand side and if it's partners it goes on right hand side of column ;)

Exactly the way I do it.

In order to comply with the rules, all the marker has to do is record the gross scores of the players who have completed the hole under the requisite players column. I though would also record the best stapleford points for each hole in the points column. How you mark your own teams score is entirely up to you.
