So after having a pretty torrid time with the r11 original model. It went and was shortly replaced with the old burner. It turned out that shock horror the fault was with me and not the club.

Ok we always know this was going to be the case, pilot error and never the club but there is something a little nice on the eye with a 440 head. I've since tried a d3 which I liked, and if I'm honest of they had a d3 head when I was fitted I would have probably gone down this route, but every now and then I find myself looking at models I know have a smaller head

910/d3
Original r11
Xhot pro.

My question is what other recent drivers come with a 440 head or there abouts, I quite fancy having a play in the off season and as lots of people are having bag clear outs due to new bats there are some real bargains to be had,

I think theres a 430cc SLDR.

I had a 430cc Bridgestone J40-was brilliant and I regret selling it every time I duff a driver with whatever else I happen to be using since then!

Not looking for a £200-300 driver, more like a used one with a half decent spec shaft, I notice a lot of Nike and callys floating around with half decent shafts that are not a lot more than £50-75

Just want to make sure I get the 440 head versions, will buy based on shaft then head... I've hit the xhot, the nike but can't remember the model, the r11 and d3, just want to make sure I'm buying a smaller headed version.

I know a few here are really into their gear, I'm interested to see what models I can pick up for sensible money,

I haven't really looked at the covert, if I'm honest I'm not sure I like the the shape of the head, I've hit the vr pro limited from Nike, that was very nice and only 430 I think....

You'll get one of the J40's from bridgetstone for around that price with a nice PX 'Real' shaft in it.

My local American Gold has a stack of R11 drivers in at that sort of price so one of them could be worth a shout.

Titleist 910 D3 is a lovely driver, and I imagine you can pick up a decent bargain now the 913 is out. Can't see me getting rid of mine, as after 40 years I have finally worked out it is pilot error rather than the club.

Been watching a few r11, but your either get complete wrecks or they make silly money, someone has new stock (still) at 300 quid each

If you want smaller looking heads, try any of the Deep-Faced models. My FT3 is still 460, but looks smallet that the Wider-faced FT5 of the following year.

So it might be a case, like me, that your misses are high/low rather than Heel/Toe that larger looking 460 heads tend to be.

Can certainly rate the Bridgestone Drivers too,

As for a 440cc head...R7 Limited (TP) is club I could play with still! Specially with the (genuine) Matrix shaft. R9 (430) was probably really good too, but didn't see many before the 460 versions (and there were loads) started being rapidly released.

Original Covert tour is 430cc (the 2.0 is 460cc)
Vr pro ltd was also 430cc, can be had brand new for 100 notes now from clubhouse golf.

The nike covert tour was being sold at silver mere for 99 quid. American golf will price match silver mere. I picked up the covert driver for 95 quid from them.

Cleveland Launcher 310 from a few years back - the one with the gold Miyazaki shaft.
440cc, good shaft and probably pretty cheap now.
