40 today ,its a milestone i'd like to miss to be honest. I didn't quite reach my goal of getting to single figures by my 40 th 2 years ago i was of 13 and decided to get some lessons hoping to there only managed to get to 9.7 ,hit the crossbar yet again.
Is 40 the new 21 :D or do i hang up the dancing shoes for a life of slippers and watching rubbish on telly (dont think so)
Anyway HID is taking me to St Andrews today for lunch and a few drinks then a stroll through the town its one of my favourite places.

Tomorrow is the first comp of my new milestone and hope to play decent to break the single figure barrier but its not the be all oe end all i just enjoy playing this crazy game.

As a present from HID i going to look at new irons so thinking of Mizunos MP52 OR 62 , we'll see.

is the present just to look at the irons or will you be allowed to keep them. :D

as one who is well past the 40 barrier - it's not, unless you make it one - 18 'til I die is my philosophy.

have a good one.

I'd go for, maybe, 25 till I die! I'd got a better idea of things by then!!

have a good one anyway - not long till the Seniors!!

40's arent so bad, .....I mean, even I @ 47 have the body of a 21 yr old

Sadly, I should give it back 'cos I is stretchin it all outa shape :D

10.4 for me, and on the way down, so there is hope for ya fella.

Have a good day. :)

Well done on continuing to wake up every day, Steve. If you're not feeling "peched" after blowing out your candles then there's hope for you still.

I would say 40 is the new 30. There's a bit of golf in you yet.

Many Happy Returns, will be my turn to hit 40 at the end of next year, so that's plenty of time to get my H/C down to single figures.

Thing is, I can only see it rising for the next year or so!

Only 40 Steve!!!!?????

I would have put you much older than that after our game at Muckhart!

Mizuno's, at your age you'd be better off with G10's and senior flex graphite shafts. Mind and take that tartan travel rug and thermos with you to St Andrews, keep the chill off of you.

Ach, only jesting, have a great day and looking forward to Spey Valley mate, see you soon, but have a serious look at the S57's you will like them.

Thecraw.

Nice one's guys cheers. Looking forward to Spey Valley one of my mates was there last week and said it was stunning .
Just back from siting on the beach at St Andrews with the hanky on my head and string vest on ,flask of ovaltine came in handy to. Have never thought of the S57's Crawford will have a look am liking of the MP62'S tho had a look at them today.
Anyway of for my tea time knap so i can enjoy the rest of my day. :D :D
