4-6-0 boo.

I think it's safe to say the only thing to win out of that game was Jose' tactics.

Played for a draw from kick off and set-up accordingly.

Very poor game, neither team showed any signs of having a devestating charge forward, if this is how moyes and moaninho want to play it, all the best, Liverpool will have a great year!

Watched the '' highlights''.
That must have been a tough job for the video editor.

Used to be boring boring Arsenal, I think Chelsea under Jose will now claim that title.

In fairness, that's how they won the league under Jose first time round. Used to win everything 1-0 and just set up not to concede. Not great to watch but effective.

Edit Just had a quick look and in Jose's first two seasons with Chelsea they only conceded 37 goals in the league (15 in 04/05 & 22 in 05/06) in the 05/06 season alone Manchester United conceded 34 goals. As above, boring but effective.

Glorious defeat is always much better than a rubbish win.

I'm a Scotsman, I should know.

I can remember quite a few golf matches when I have played very well and lost.
I can't remember much about my wins when I have not played well. [apart when I lost the last four holes and won on the 20th.]

Only reason I enjoyed it was seeing Chelsea keep a clean sheet thus meaning points in the fantasy league. Aside from that it was a victory for Chelsea, just without the extra 2 points.

So if they only scored one per game in that season, can you explain how they have the second best goal difference figure, +57, of any modern Chelsea team other than Carlo Ancellotti's double winners of 2010, who had +71? And which other teams eclipse that boring team of 2004/05 in terms of a better goal difference. There is just as much of an art in good defending as there is in goal scoring.

As for last night's game, no it wasn't a stunning advert for Premier League football. But when you visit the home ground of the defending league champions, I'm not aware of any rule that says you have to stand back and roll out the red carpet for them. Incidentally, according to Sky's statistics, boring old Mourinho's team had 33% more attempts on target than Man Utd.....
