3Seniors, 3.5 hours inc breakfast, 115 points and 6 birdies

Now THAT'S what I call golf.
As a 74year old 17 h/capper ,that is good golf and at a pace I would have to run to keep up.
3 hour 50 I can still manage but probably no birdies.
Love the replies to you as well, good craic and no sniping
.We have all been young ,I just hope some on here get to play in their dotage
Dewsweeper

my first medal at my new club had me paired with a 73 year old and a 67 year old- we went round in 3hrs 15mins and I never had to wait on them :whoo:
My previous club a 4hr 30min medal was the norm with younger, fitter guys who all hit it far:(

Just thought of a new invention , a 3 foot extension for pitch mark repairers to match my ball retriever , any orders. Dragons den here I come.

I have a plastic claw gismo for ball retrieval on the end of my putter that does a pretty good job of pitchmark repairs on the soft greens we have at the moment.
I also get my pp's ball out of the hole if there is water in the hole ,it keep the 'handy pandies 'warm and dry.'I am a soft southerner playing in the northern regions of Cheshire.

Well done Dewsweeper. I will have to join your three ball sometime. It will only add ten minutes to the round.
As a 71year old 17H/C I hate the slow play of so many younger players who faff around emulating the tour players. That's not to say that a fair few of our seniors are too slow for my liking.

Shall I play devil's advocate and ask why were you rushing? Is it because golf is something to get over and done with as quickly as possible? Or because Countdown was on with Rachel Riley? :D
Never quite understood the dashing round thing personally. As long as you play at a decent pace, keep up with the game in front and don't hold anyone up, what's the point? I do enough rushing at work.

Rushing? It's a three ball - 3 hrs max unless you're held up - hopefully they took the extra 30 mins over the breakfast
