3 Years today! Seve

Was in Vilamoura when this was announced - totally gobsmacked how many grown men had tears in their eyes.

I saw Seve at his best in an Open in the early 80's - WOW!

Have to admit, I had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye , when he died.
Also happened the other day when there was a program on television about Seves' life.

When younger folk ask whether he really had that much effect upon ordinary golf enthusiasts I simply say that our Club has rarely, if ever, flown the Club flag at half-mast in recognition of the death of any one other than a member.

We did for Seve.

Loved watching him play - first memories of golf were him then Faldo

Wonder person and such a great character

The iconic dance with Ollie at the Ryder Cup

Absolutely loathed that Ollie prance on the green! Don't remember Seve doing it.....thank God

Savage memory of him telling us a story at the seve trophy about one of the guys on the PGA tour falling into the water the night before , he stood up on the buggy and did the actions , someone told him "seve the guys are playing in " he replied "yes yes one moment guys " he finished the story and said "ok you can play now"
Classic moment for me .. Sir Nick Or Sir Colin were not as much fun
