Hey all I use a TM Rocketballz Stage 2 15 degree wood and with the magic of my GPS Ive been recording the best of my 3 wood hits, My best 5 hits recently are:

225 yrds
223 yrds
226 yrds
221 yrds
219 yrds

My question is how far then should i be hitting my driver because at the moment I don't think I'ms getting the correct gaps. It should be just over 230 ish right maybe 235?

I would think more than that. Distance between 3W and Driver is often a lot more than between Hybrids and 3W. 240-250 (or even more) and up would be my thoughts. Also depends on whether you wellie the 3w and baby the Driver (for accuracy) or even the other way around!

I wouldn't worry about a gap between driver and 3 wood
The driver is for maximum distance off the tee, to be used where you need to get as far as possible, hopefully down the fairway.
The 3 wood is for off the tee as well as the fairway. Off the tee you're looking for less distance and more control, either the driver will be too far or the drive is tight. It's also, generally, the longest club off the fairway so gap distance worries need to be aimed between the 3 wood and whatever is next down the list.
Hit the driver as far as you can whilst keeping it under control.
The gap to the 3 wood is, to my mind, fairly inconsequential.

wrong comparison basis IMO

my RBZ Tour 3 wood is 25 yds longer than my basic Burner 09 3w, and as long/longer than 2 of my older Burner drivers as well.

All this is before you take into account that they are easier to hit well than drivers for the majority of handicap golfers ie for any given capability players will generally get a higher percentage of their available distance from a 3w than a driver. The latter being the reason that you won't necessarily get another 25 yds by changing your driver to an RBZ!

I agree with this, my driver is probably 10 yards longer on average than my 3w unless I flush the big bat!

It depends on both your ability and what you bought it for. I know several people who bought the standard RBZ and found it to be almost driver long off the tee but they couldn't hit it consistently off the fairway.

I had one for a short time, sold it on and bought a Cobra S2 3 wood. The RBZ was more than ten yds longer off the tee, however it wasn't as accurate or consistent. The S2 is also one of the easiest clubs to launch off the fairway and that combined with the accuracy is far more important than having a 3 wood that can almost rival my driver for distance.

I would be hoping to hit my driver over 250 if those were my 3 wood distances TBH. I think though that for some players the 3 wood will be more efficient than the driver and the new wave of 2 woods might be better suited than a driver. I know a few folk that are trying that just now and find the 2 woods are getting close to driver length and one guy who puts the Callaway X2 Hot 2Deep about 10yards past his current driver.
