Hi all,
anyway i'm a low 20 handicap player and looking to buy a fairway wood. I don't currently have one in the bag and feel its a huge space missing.

The dilemma is how much should I spend on this thing? I have looked and tried out MD 3 woods and they are easy to hit, fairly long etc. I have also tried out ping G15s, taylormade superfast, titleist 909 (something) all also felt good and certainly had more of a punch and style to them.
So should i get the md and buy a better club when im a better player or just go straight to the top?

Reviews of clubs also welcome and personal experience welcome.

PS: also posted this in the for sale/wanted section, what section should i place it as its help but also a wanted article thanks and sorry :D

Ace....All of the above are good....With MD if your on a budget then pull the trigger on them....There is nothing wrong with them and because they dont have to paay Tour players wages then us as average Joe's get the benefit....

I have a Ping G15 and its a peach of a club...
also i would not neglect a Cobra S2 or S3

Just my 2 cents

Mate i was in the exact same psition as you last week. Had my driver then 3 iron. I bought a 2nd hand titlesist 5 wood 909f2 on ebay for 60 quid. It looked brand new when it arrived. Took it to the range and it is unreal. Was hitting it off the deck close to where i can drive. I reckon with carry i can drive 250 too. Its unreal. Never had a club that felt so sweet. My driver was a cheaper nicklaus and although i really like it after feeling how sweet a club can be im already thinking of upgrading that too.

Cant wait to have a round with it tomorrow!!

My advice is go for better brands but dont be afraid to go 2nd hand if the budget is an issue!

Good luck mate

Geordie jealous like hell, budget isn't a problem but don't want to waste money. I normally always buy 2nd hand as it is so much cheaper

I bought the md fir same reasons as big gap in distance from driver to hybrid, also cost factor as bought 2010 model brand new from eBay £45. I've been hitting it a treat
