Played medal on Sunday in a rather stiff breeze. Shot 80 nett 75, best scratch by 5 shots. As usual someone,somehow managed a nett 70 to push me into second. 30 folk braved it,and I managed to buffer due to a 7 being reduced to 6 and CSS of 74.

I won 1.50! Got a bottle if coke and let him keep the change.

Still though, that isnt really what gets us out is it? just the fact you are golfing and competing against others does it for me, sounds like you did well in less than comfortable conditions

Last monthly stableford the winner got nearly £170. My mate came fifth and got £40. Mind you our entry fees are £6, assuming you enter the sweep and two's as well.

One week I got £25 for coming first, another week £25 for coming 2nd and another week £40 for coming 2nd! Prize funds vary quite largely at my club as you can see

Our prizes are split from whatever entry money came in. I've won £4 for winning and £20 for winning depending on how many entered.

We don't get all our prize money till end of year so everything you won you get it in bulk which I think is bettter

I got a shock the other week when I won in the two's pot .... on a miserable day where most of the field withdrew due to the weather there was only about 1/3 the normal field.

I won £32 for the only 2 of the day

Am I being daft, sweep and two's? I thought the two's was the ball sweep?

Sweep is the sections (or overall) 2s are seperate for 2's scored on any hole.
