6 of which are midweek.
Does this seem low to you? It seems low to me.
I've had a frustrating competition year. Out of competition I've shot some silly scores, taken the money in many roll-ups, even off an artificially low handicap in one that maintains their own handicap book. I'm constantly accused of being a bandit and play under my handicap more often than not (out of competition..)
This winds me up no end, I'm desperate to get a cut to stop the calls of banditry, which results in me putting a lot of pressure on myself in the few comps available, and have returned a few bad results, and a couple of small cuts, which have left me at just one shot below the playing handicap I started the year on.
Having had to miss a few comps this year due to other commitments, weddings etc, my opportunity to play competition golf has been severely limited by the paucity of comps through the calendar.
I think if we had more comps the handicaps would be more reflective of ability (certainly mine...)
Last qualifier until April was yesterday. I missed it because I attended an ante-natal class with my wife in the morning and there were no othe players to play with and mark my card in the afternoon. So that's me stuck where I am for another 7 months. Going to put in a supp today I think.
It's the only thing I don't like about my current club, but it does annoy me. Am I being unreasonable?
Whinge over.
