2020 open at RSG

Usually every 5 years it returns to St Andrews, but I assume then that as the 2021 Open will be the 150th, it will return to the Old Course then.

Look forward to going down to RSG then to see how badly the pros play it compared to us mere Forum-ers next week!!!

:-( Lovely course, but the infrastructure to support an event of that size is easily the worst of all the English courses on the rota.

I agree, but imo that should be the last concern for an event.

The course and the history is more important to me than how easily can we squeeze thousands into the venue. I accept that doesn't help us all wishing to go, but not all courses need to be resort style to be run well.

RSG - happy its going back, good to get it down there from time to time to move it all over UK, famous venue with home winners Sandy Lyle and Darren Clarke winning there. Seems to throw up horrific spells of weather too for 'summer' in one of the most weather reliable parts of the UK which is a bit odd but a good leveller for the big guns if they get the wrong part of the draw.
