I didn't want it anyway, couldn't see where the country would make any money out of it once FIFA had taken their £3b.

That said, Russia? A country where every stadium has to be built from scratch, and all the African teams will be abused from their arrival to their departure.

I wanted it to go to Spain. Same for the coloured players as Russia, but at least the weathers better.

Qatar will have to have air con stadia because its that hot what a joke,Russia, well money talks ,i wonder how much Blatter and his cronies pocketed from that wee deal , it would have been good for the World Cup to come to England basically just for football reasons,but FIFA want to put it to countries who have never held it ( or give the biggest bungs ), to big oil countries won,good luck to them.

FIFA have no shame! It's an absolute disgrace that they can award the 2018 WC to a country that has to build 14 new stadiums and the even worse to give it to a "country" that has zero football history, never qualified for a WC and a population of 1.6m in 2022!

The whole bloody organization should be disbanded. Football fans across the world should rise up and take the game back from them!

Unfortunately, you're right.

For football reasons, England would have been a perfect choice. The country was totally sucked in when we had the Euro's in 96.

I really hope Lineker quits as well. Not because I don't like him, but because the BBC can go fcuk themselves.

4 hour flight to Russia,5 to Qatar,better that than Oz or States IMO.
