For me

1) Ryder Cup, especially if the US and Europe pick the young guns
2) The Masters
3) The US Open
4) The Open
5) The PGA
6) Washing my hair
7) Olympic Golf Gold Medal

Masters No.1, Open No.2, the rest I'm not too bothered about with the exception of the Olympics as I really don't care who wins that as it shouldn't be at the Olympics IMO.

You forgot the the real number 1 the GM Forum Trumpnoustie extravaganza

But among the TV excitements

1) Ryder Cup

2) The Masters ('cos it ends the winter drought)
3) The Open ('cos it's the best all round test)
4) The US Open
5) The PGA
6) Olympic Golf Gold Medal

Washing my hair is way down the list of excitements in my life - well below a visit to the fridge, so I dropped it :-)

It all depends how they play out. Anyone could be boring if a runaway or if Zach Jonson wins, and exciting if Rory, Spieth and Day are all tussling for the win.

The Masters coz it's the official start of the season for me. After that, only the last of any tournament, and then only if it looks like it might be a good finish.

Ryder Cup
The Open

Masters

I can't understand how anyone in the UK would put the Masters before the Open Championship?

For me
1. The Open
2. RC
3. Masters
4. Scottish Open
5. US Open
6. Olympics - not really in agreement but will watch it.
7. USPGA

The Masters
Ryder cup
US open
PGA
The Olympics
The Open

Had the players been on the list I'd have had that 2nd as I love watching the pro's play Sawgrass....especially after Fowlers masterclass last year

For me it will come down to what's on terrestrial TV so:

1. Ricoh Women’s British Open
2. The Olympics
3. Possibly The Masters although looking on the BBC website, all it says is "Details and times of BBC Sport's live television coverage will appear here when announced."

Ryder cup
Open championship
US Open
The Masters
PGA

I'm getting a bit fed up with the coverage we get from The Masters which is my reason for it being a bit lower than others

Ryder Cup
The Open

Anything else depends if it's an exiting finish, if there's a runaway leader I possibly wouldn't give it a second thought.

  1. US Open (2015 course certainly made this event stand out in the memory, I like the approach taken to course set up for this)
  2. The Open (even a poor showing gets the blood pumping)
  3. RC (I just don't think it'll be a close one this year, unfortunately)
  4. Olympics (imagine being the only golfer alive that can call themselves Olympic champion!)
  5. Masters (its all about the short game, the course appears pretty benign otherwise, same ol' same ol')
  6. PGA (Not really a Major so as exciting as any other weekly tour event)
  7. Washing your hair (I don't really want to wash your hair tbh)
