Next year looks better than ever! It's only just November and have seen trips to the following places being available already, just got to work out the day passes out.

Forest of arden
Lindrick
Hollinwell
Ganton
Woburn
Beau desert
Forest pines
Woodhall
Silloth
Moortown
Sunningdale

Plus I've got an old course/new course trip.
If I can do half then I'll be well pleased. :)

Anyone else got lots planned?

Went through all the Open dates i could find online the other day and (if I can get the game sorted to a reasonable standard over the winter) intend playing opens, seniors opens or mixed at;

Leven Links
Lundin Links
Blairgowrie
Boat of Garten (Mixed)
Forfar
Alyth
Montrose
Carnoustie (Burnside mixed)
Muckhart
Arbroath
Alford
Cruden Bay
Elie
Crail
Brechin
Fortrose and Rosemarkie
Royal Dornoch

That's courses I've played and loved in the past, a few new ones which are local(ish)

Plus I intend having a night away with the missus at Turnberry and play the Ailsa and Kintyre

Woburn and H4H is all I have in the diary. I do have two vouchers to use at the Army GC and Bramley GC which I plan to use during Royal Ascot week when our course is a virtual no go zone and down to 12 holes anyway

April - Hill Valley weekender and Woodall Spa weekender
May - Woburn
July - Cooden Beach and Hunstanton/kings Lynn 3 days
August - Gainsborough 3 days

not too busy although thinking of joining a local society which plays 12 games during the season at various courses

Littlestone
Ganton
Worksop
Woodbury Park
Woodhall Spa
Parkstone
Berkhamstead

All new venues for me.

Darren, don't waste your time or money on Woodbury, it's average at best. Rest of your list is top notch though :)

Hmmm and guess who turned down an invitation to play Turnberry Ailsa tomorrow.

I think that is now the end of my playing days.
A few knocks round my local 9 holes is probably as far as I will be going next year

Has Woodbury gone down hill then? I was a member there back in the late 90's early naughties whilst Mansell had it and it was a cracking course and club we had a ball there during that time. I'm aware its got a massive hotel etc there now but didnt think it would slip badly....:(

Sorry to hear that Doon, but hope you'll stick around on the forum, your posts are always well worth reading.

Fourballs at Sunningdale New, The Berkshire, Cuddington, Coombe Hill and Tandridge. Plus the usual Society days at Hankley, West Hill, Woking, Worplesdon, St Georges Hill, Burhill, North Hants, West Byfleet, West Surrey, Cowdray Park.

Few forum meets pencilled in at Woodhall Spa and Cooden, and of course the H4H day. Hopefully Slasher will invite me to Bearwood Lakes again.

Going to be fantastic year next year - 2 stag do's playing golf plus a 40th Bday trip

Stag Do's - Celtic Manor - all three courses.
St Melion

40th - The three links - St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarn

Plus trips to Gog Magog , Studley Wood ( hidden gem )

Pro Am's at Mentmore , John O Gaunt ,Dunstable Downs and Newmarket.

And then a little boys trip to Liverpool to play Hoylake , Formby and one more to be decided

It's the Devon mid am @ Woodbury - is it that bad there? Don't they have a seniors tour event on it?

It's a typical 80/90's new course, probably used to be farm fields with a few trees. Pretty wide open and featureless, played it a couple of times and wouldn't bother going back. Also, it holds a lot of moisture so if there is any rain before the event it will be soggy underfoot.
