Is this correct? I've just been on the website and it says it's £60 for the day.

This is fantastic value!!!!!

The BMW PGA at Wentwoth is a bargin, a stunning course all the top european golfers, Donald, Westwood, Mcilroy etc and only £30 for a sunday ticket and the same price for a 4 day ticket as a 1 day ticket for the open if i'm not mistaken.

20/25/30 pounds for practice days, £60 for competion days. Bargin
Have to agree, the best days to go along on are the practice days. The players are so much more relaxed, well, most of them, and you can get your cameras in. If you think about it £60 for the competition days is good value for in excess of 10 hours entertainment each day with the worlds best golfers on show. What would you get for that money at other entertainment venues.

£60 for The Open would be a bargain. £60 for The British Open is obviously over-priced for some other second rate tournament
If you are going to be pedantic, at least make sure your correction is correct. It's 'The Open Championship'!

And for clarity, or real pedantry, a couple of commas might remove the possibility that you consider it a second rate tournament! :D

British Open is fine for almost everybody. Or maybe this is one of the 'traditions' that some love to keep!

Been to st Andrews a couple of times and turnbery, enjoyed the days out, got all the merchandise.
if I had to go again it would only be a Practice day, far to many people allowed in, see a lot more on tv.
although I would tell anyone who hasn't been to give it a go.

Been the last three times to Sandwich... Also splashed the cash to attend the millenium open at St Andrews...

Worth every penny every time...

Compared to ticket prices for other major sporting events... The pricing, I feel, is reasonable..

A few of us from Yorkshire Golf are off to The Open.:whoo:
We decided on getting a ticket for Wednesdays practice day. Buzzing, can't wait. Should be a better opportunity of getting closer to the players who will also be a bit more chilled than on competition day (hopefully)

Buy from ticket master as the official site charges an admin card card and roughly £10 delivery. Ticketmaster is free, maybe a slight admin fee.

P.s the tickets go up to £70 after 1st june
