2 thumbs up to my club pro's.

Saw the Pro's newsletter for the first time last week, they were offering a free wedge clinic at the weekend. I phoned up knowing that it was rather late, and as expected they were fully booked. However, called back Saturday morning for something else and found by chance that someone had cancelled, so was able to jump in to the Saturday afternoon.

12 members in the clinic, each pro took 6 of us and spent an hour going over different wedges and how to play them . Got some very useful advice, and to hit as many balls on the practice ground as I could in the hour, and all for free.

When I played yesterday, played pretty crap with my irons for the most part, except for chipping, which was massively improved

It was all for free.

They ran two one hour clinics with both of them working the instruction in both clinics.

Thats really good. A great way for pro's to show people how they work. I expect a few will prob book lessons after that will they?

A club near me was offering something similar recently which I would have jumped at had I not been busy that day.

It was a total short game tutorial afternoon. Think it was about 3 hours with the pros for about £10/15.

I'm hoping they'll do another soon...

I need major surgery on my chipping. Not sure even 2 pros working simultaneously would breathe life into my short game

Great idea from your pros gets people interested and gets there faces known, I might even mention it at my local pro shop.
