2 PB today :-)

As the title suggests I walked off the course with 2 PB's today.

The first was my longest drive (310 YRDS) since I began measuring with the S3. Also had a (295)

The second was a new PB on the PGA National. I shot 85, short game and putting got me the score and driving cost me a few drop shots as the rough is now nearly past knee length in most parts and a missed fairway is a reload. Did birdie the difficult par 5 second though. My previous best was 88 but it really could have been better today if not for some dodgy long putts and some wayward drives that if I'm honest on most courses I've played would have left me a decent lie but the PGA is showing its teeth now. Been a member since Feb so I'm happy with my progression.

Might get on the Easier Derby course now and try to get a really low one

Nothing beats a PB however it comes. Keep chipping away and see if you can break some more

The rough is getting crazy now and it's a real kick in the man meat when you miss a fairway by a couple of yards and see the area the ball has landed but have no chance of finding it. But it's making me a better player overall.

Was a weird one, didn't feel great off the tee as there where some wayward drives. It was either a par or a double, One of them days. The first 5 holes where straight into the wind so where playing long and I played them +3. Guess what... When it switched round the wind had peed off, typical :angry:

Put the card into Golf Shake and I scored 38 points and my HCP is now 16.4... Shame it wasn't a comp :angry: So I'm still officially off 17!!!

Well done my next target is 80, be more consistent with the long putts and I reckon I can do it.

The PGA National is a harder Track than the Brabazon (in my eyes) so 85 round there is a good knock!
