Hi All

My new shinies are coming (soonish) but they are 3* up and my old clubs are 5* up, pretty severe I know.
Is it common that as you get better posture etc your lie angle can change?

Varies from OEM to OEM, but generally newer irons tend to be more upright, stronger lofted and longer in length. The lie will probably be a wash. Be prepared to gain a few yards on each club.

I had a custom fitting for my present clubs 15 months ago and the lie angle was determined as standard using the strike plate. However 3 months ago I was tending to hit too many shots off line and felt the toe was too high. Went back to the Pro I had the original fitting for a lesson and then a check on the lie angle, this time they needed to be adjusted to 2 deg flat. My posture/swing plane whatever had changed, now hitting straight again.
