2 ft tall Eagle Owl flying around Inverness city centre

seems pretty common site up your way according to the report, one said "we never gave it a thought...." after seeing it, and another reported "When we owned the Redcliffe we actually had an eagle owl come and visit our garden for a week."

must be quite a sight though a 2 foot high bird of prey giving you the Eagle eye :smirk:

Well there used to be a guy that ran a bird of prey sactuary who had a lttle stall in the centre raising funds and he always had two Eagle owls there. on did escape a few years ago when it got scared by a dog, but i though he got it back though... maybe not.

The guy in the report though, also says he see's pink elephants every saturday night too;)

I'm staggered it wasn't the main event on the national news........all that drama!

A man was left was left lying in a pool of his own blood after his head was ripped open by an eagle owl.

A "fountain" of blood pouring from his skull.

It had ripped my head open and the blood was everywhere - it had erupted like a fountain.

Attacked me with its talons, slicing my head like a stanley knife would.

I opted for the glue and so they stuck me all back together.

Presumably the whole of Inverness-shire has been sealed off and designated a no-go area with all inhabitants evacuated for their own safety!
Give the boy an Oscar.

Slime.

Been past the roof it was sitting on yesterday this morning and its gone now. Maybe worked out there's a small park the other side of the river that little old ladies walk there poodles;)

Patrick, I saw this yesterday when I was up your way, was a bloody big creature right enough.

It would have been if it happened in Surrey!

Mrs H actually saw an eagle owl in Windlesham last year when out running. It was sitting on a road sign as she ran round the corner. She said it was huge but flew off before she got too close - sounds like she had a lucky escape :D
