I always feel mentally that we are through the worst of the winter weather from this date onwards, time to look forward to the clocks changing, competitions getting under way, faster greens, evening golf and playing in less than 3 (or more) layers.

Bring it on

the snow wind sleet and rain are battering my windows the last 48hrs. course on 18 winter greens and muddy.

might be April before any decent weather as the jetstream is OOS

Currently guests of 40mph is battering the fens, although it is drier and brighter I'm going to give even the range a miss today. Played yesterday in guests of 30mph and although good fun I'd probably struggle with these greater wind speeds.

Sun shining today , bit windy but lovely day for golf

We've got dark grey clouds then clear skies, it's blowing a gale, but it's not rained since last night, another month to 6 weeks of practice, in prep for the first comp of the season in April, looking forward to getting out a playing again.

The odd patch of sunshine, rain, sleet and a steady 25mph wind on a pretty wet course. But 40 points means I won the money so I'm a very happy camper 😅😅

Forecast is looking much better towards the end of the week.

I'm looking at re-starting the post work golf now we've hit March. Getting to the course for 4:30 should see me easily getting 9 in

I feel the same. Through the worst of it now thankfully. Just back from 28 holes played in four seasons. Unusually for us blowing a right hooley darn sarf.

Warming up nicely for the season

New grips on the clubs

A quick one over gross despite not really sinking anything on the greens

Looking forward to a cracking March with some great courses and meets lined up

Centurion
Burnham and Berrow
Blackmoor
Forest of Arden
Berkshire

Good times ahead with what should be some good times with the guys on here

Started in sunshine, turned to rain , got windier then hailstones , came in off 9 with greens flooding and it was snowing ,, march of many weathers starts with a bang

Agree with the first of March turning point and hope you are right, Formby next Sunday and hope it's nothing like today.

Forecast is looking good at the moment

Daily Mail "reporting" a warm Easter. We spent all last season on a temp layout due to drainage work on 18th (par 3), went back in play In january and it was found out they forgot to re-position the drainage under the green

Owners call in an outside sports agency in to sort it, and there doing a cracking job, looks great and they have put 2 new bunkers in, but won't be in play until at least mid April . More temp green misery.
