1st hole in one and maybe my 1st win and cut!

So after 15 months of playing golf I got my first ace yesterday in the midweek stableford competition! It was a short par 3, 8 iron, 139 yards to the pin, the moment I hit it i knew it was all over it. It pitched a few inches short and jumped in! I couldn't quite believe it!

To top it off I went on and played the best round of golf I have ever played. I got 41 points which is hopefully enough to also give me my first competition win and my first handicap reduction! I'm just waiting for the results to be published!

Congrats! That's quite a neat little pitchmark there Hope you are right about the win (with 41 points, the handicap reduction should be a definite, I think, unless everyone else was absolutely on fire as well).

Haha! On the following hole I sliced my driver into the long stuff and lost it so was playing 3 off the tee - I didnt really care at the time but looking back I could have saved a couple of shots there!

Cant believe it! looking back at all the past stableford comps this year 41 points would clinch it... yesterday someone happens to get 43! So I came 2nd. Not the triple I had hoped for but still a HIO and a 2 shot cut. (as well as the members hole in one whiskeys!!)

Unlucky Grieve; but with a cut and especially a hole in one I'm sure you are still chuffed.

I'm waiting to see if I have won my first monthly medal with a nett 67 last Saturday; so hopefully I'm lucky, however, August medal was won by a nett 60 - so potentially not!
