At the beginning of the year I set myself a target to get my handicap down to 16. I thought it would be a bit of stretch target but I thought it was achievable.

Well after a lot of practice and lessons through the winter I've managed to do it way earlier than I thought.

Scored 40 points (84 shots) in yesterdays comp which takes me down to 15.7.

I'm absolutely over the moon. :D:D:D

Things have just slotted into place nicely over the past couple of months.

I've started to shoot sub-85 rounds very regularly over the past 4 weeks and feel a sub 80 round is not out the question. Something I just wouldn't have thought possible 6 months ago.

And I've got the week off and playing all week. (The Grove on Wednesday).

Life is good :)

I think about 12-13 would not be out of the question.

I would love to get into single figures but I feel that might be a step too far this year. Once you hit cat 2 and only getting .2 cuts per shot it gets really tough. I probably don't have enough qualifying rounds available to me this year to get that low.

I think single figures is a target for next year.

Goes to show how hard it is to get to scratch. I've been playing out my skin recently and still can only dream of single figures, let alone scratch.
