Played my first ever match today having entered the clubs singles. Played against a 22 HC today and one 3&1 thanks to him handing the 17th to me by loosing his first ball. I was on the green and a half was most likely the worst outcome for me on that hole.
Driving and irons were not great for me but my wedges (especially the 60*) and hybrids were strong and my putting was solid.
Highly enjoyable afternoon and with thunder starting to rumble on the 18th tee box we finished in perfect time. Opponent was a gent and I have played with him once before so we both knew a bit of each others game and I knew he is a strong putter. Didn't help that I rolled up to the first tee with zero warm up.
