OK it was on a very short, very straight Par 4. The 3rd at Newbury Racecourse for those who know it. Hit a straight drive to within 7 foot and rolled in the putt, may not mean much to the single figure handicap fraternity but a big mountain to us lesser mortals. That is all you are free to carry on browsing, thank you for your time.

An eagle is an eagle!! Well done!! and on a par 4 too!!

Have a wine or a beer tonight and enjoy!! more to come i hope!!

Cheers fellas, Cookelad far be it from me to shatter the image so i'll just cross my fingers and say it's something like that

Don't know the course so I'll just say well done and imagine it as being 450yard monster drive that left you the 7footer!
I take it that it was all carry and stopped within a foot

I missed a 3FT putt for one recently, a 304 yard drive followed by a 190 yard iron shot on a par 5. I blame Hovis for putting me off

Quality post!

And the hole length matters not, it's a 2 on a par 4 - congratulations

Don't go lessening your achievement! I'll bet your knees were still knocking and the heart was racing when you were cooly rolling the putt home - and you still made it despite that pressure so bravo to you sir says I!
