Speechless....Definately.....
I won our monthly medal on sunday and got my firt cut of the year...Down to 17 now.....
Only thing that i didnt like is that i won on a count back with 2 other players both playing off 8....I feel a little like a bandit even though im far from one....

Well done Kid - and don't worry about the countback. Its great when it works in our favour but it stinks when it doesn't!!

Still thinking about swapping that 5 wood out?

Nice :) Well done to you.

What was the total cut in the end?

Thanks Guys....Im ecstatic... :D :D

Imurg....Ya still thinking of it....nothing definate yet though.....

Dave....19.2 before sunday....Cut 1.8 to 17.4....Adjustment of 1.8...... I shot 6 under CSS of 71

Well played Kid great to hear about your double. I wouldn't be worried about countback you'll have plenty of time to be cheesed off when you hit single figures and it works against you :D !!!

Keep up the good work.

Well done Kid, the first ones always special and don't worry about the count back, its part of the game and the only way to separate the crowd on merit.

Having said that I've been ousted twice on count back this year :(, although I'm not convinced our match secretary is doing it right. At our course count back is on the front nine which is fine but in a strokeplay comp, it is worked on gross instead of net, Is he a blithering idiot or do I owe him an apology? :D

If I've understood you right, he needs to take a long hard look at himself!

I thought countback was nett and back 9, then back 6 etc. Only if the whole back 9 is identical should you go to the front 9.

My understanding is that its each individual clubs choice whether its front or back nine although I've heard it mentioned it could be to do with the stroke index 1 position, that said how he works count back on Gross instead of net totally defeats the point of handicaps. My other gripe with our local count back is if you are tied after 9 holes in strokeplay it goes to 12 and so on yet on stableford last week I would have got 2nd based on the front 12 but lost out on back 6 after we had tied the front 9 :D
