off to Beadlow Manor with a work mate for 18, this sunshine has given me the itch. I was going to avoid a full 18 until 100% happy with the new swing but what the hell, its only a game.

Lets see them new icy wedges bite :D

yeah, couldnt get a morning tee time anywhere else, The Baron is doing ok and on full greens so should be ok.

I would join there if the drainage wasnt so crap :)

Relax and enjoy Gibbo, you will hit bad shots and make bad swings, it's inevitable for all of us. Just go and enjoy it.

i played a match there last summer, couldnt believe how wet parts of the course especially the greens were, not the best of endorsements but was one of those courses when asked what its best feature was the answer was the barmaid :)

Despite promising to make drainage a priorty in 2013 they have done naff all. When my membership expires in sept i'll be off and I think a few others will be too. One thing it did have going was it was cheap. but now its up to 799 PA its no longer a good deal.

not sure yet, Might go letchworth if they ditch the joining fee. its down to 500 now but still 500 to much. Otherwsie panshanger is a good track.

Id heard similar, shame really as the place actually has lots of potential in the right hands (and with a bit of money to invest). Where you heading Paddy?

grew up playing at pansangher often many many years ago! letchworth definitely a nice track, been in excellent condition last few times i played it, may try and play their open if they run it again this yr

always worth asking the question on joining fee even if they are advertising it as being £500, especia;lly if theyve lost a few members

indeed and my friend will be joining the same place as me too so they may well be up for a deal :)

if you can waiver the fee I would join lol

This time last year they still had a 1200 joining fee, down to 500 now but cant see it staying. Beadlow may be back on main greens but they were shockingly bad when I was there last sunday. Grass as long as the faiways because they can't get the mowers out

They not even been able to hand cut them with smaller mowers?

Managed to get out this morning and amazing how much our course has dried out in just a week, greens been rolled and cut, all the aprons and last 30 yards of fairway been cut right down, tees cut, almost looks like a golf course again, still needs a few more weeks to settle a bit more but a vast improvement thats for sure, looking forward to getting out with Al on Sunday now
