Which will be the easier to hit been getting on great with my jpx 825 3 hybrid these last fewweeks so decided to get a 3 wood as I've currently not got one however stumbled across at jpx 825 2 hybrid 16 deg on fleabay which is looking at a tasty price so quick question which would be easier to hit and wouldthe distance be more of less the same?
Cheers

I would suggest they have different applications.

The hybrid should be easier to swing as it will have a shorter shaft, however a friend of mine shared with me that once a hybrid gets much past 19* its not as easy for the weaker player (you and me) as there is very little loft with a somewhat short shaft(for sure shorter than a fairway wood). His observations makes sense in my mind.

Fairway wood has a longer shaft so maybe harder to wield but easier to launch.

Take your pick....

I know, I was no help....

that's pretty much how I understand it. Lower lofted hybrids are harder to launch. I had a 2 iron i15, 17 degree I believe. I had no issues getting it airbourne but had to go at it quite hard to get the best out of it. It was more versatile than a 3/4 wood as I could hit it from anywhere.

not sure where it's gone

a 3 wood for me would need a perfect lie to hit well.

for you, I would just use your 19 degree, you may get 10 yards more off a 16 degree hybrid but it's harder to hit well.

or there may be a interesting looking 2 iron in the for sale section shortly

Ive got a 17 deg hybrid and have no trouble getting airporn;)

this year i have embraced GI and anything that makes the game easier. I used to use a 2 and 3 iron to good effect but Hybrid way easier IMO.

i doubt you will get a 16 deg hybrid to go as far as a 3 wood though.

I have a 17 degree hybrid & a 3 wood.
The hybrid is ok off the tee, but is a little more difficult off the deck.
The 3 wood is a weapon off the tee & the deck.
