13

Well 13 is the most you can score, you have to pick up and put that on your card... Even in a medal!

I was once casually told by a FC

Are you sure? I thought it was 9 so that you don't have to go into double figures ;)

Should have asked him to point the rule out in the rule book

Siem tried to bottle it too, his putt on 18 was awful, a proper push. Donaldson should have been in that playoff too, left his putt on 18 just short. Lovely chip in from Marcel to win it though, made up for the god awful putt a few minutes earlier. Course was eating the guys alive today, well, other than Ross Fisher.

Stupid question then in club comp(medal)if having a terrible hole and had 13 shots I just pick up and mark 13 then.so no none return?

I seem to remember playing Tiger Woods golf years ago, and 13 was the most amount of shots you could take on a hole, wouldn't be surprised if it started then!

Played with a friend at Portal Champ a few years ago who on the 3rd (I think - the long par 5) missed his putt for a twelve, picked up and said "I'll take a gentleman's!"

I recall a Club Championship many moons ago. We got to the 4th tee, dogleg par 4 with water in front of the tee and OB down the right, one of the guys in my threeball proceeded to hit ball after ball either into the water or OB. He eventually got one into play and holed a great putt for a 24

Have to give it to him for stamina. Reckon I would have been an iron off tee, or a NR well before then.
