anyone used this website?
any good?
Call me old fashioned - just a bit nervous!

Alternatively anyone want to sell me a decent stand bag for less than £45?!

Cheers!

Not for me, I'm sorry to say.

There are SO many stories of people placing orders and then being messed about because the kit isn't actually in stock.

Some companies (like Amazon) sell things which are coming from a third party, I accept that, but in my case I waited ages for a club because the manufacturer had to send it to 118 who then had to send it to me. If a part of this chain is delayed, it can take far too long.

My local Edinburgh Wool Mill shop (has a golf section) has some Lynx/Ram/Hippo stand bags in for about £45-55. The Lynx one I looked it was excellent with a comfy double strap. I would have bought it had I not had the missus with me.
The mice have eaten my Ping bag (it was in the shed) and the holes are patched up from the inside with gaffer tape. I'd like to replace it....but the holes need to get a bit bigger before the woman from del monte, she say yes.

cheers
They blew it anyway, I 'added item to cart' just to see how i felt, and they recommended buying some west ham branded tees.
lol delete delete delete !

back to scouring ebay / keeping an eye on shops.

They are rubbish. You order as there is no hint of it being out of stock and then wait weeks. When you can eventually get through they say they are ordering directly from the manufacturer. Why not say its not in stock. It seems they do it for most things (I've ordered shoes, bag and some clothing) and all have had problems. Definitely one to avoid

I've ordered a couple of times from 118, and had no problems. Quick delivery and zero hassle. Just posting for balance.

Can't say the same for American Golf, just had a truly awful customer service experience with them, and have given up trying to get my problem sorted. I'll not be shopping with them again.

I got my SkyCaddie SG5 from 118 Golf in Feb 2009. At the time they had it cheaper than anyone else.

Only complaint is that it took 5 days to arrive (and that might not have been 118's fault)

The site I use for cheap kit is justgolfonline. Have had really good service from them and whilst they have a more limited selection as the specialise in end of range kit there are normally some bargains to be had

cheers gb72 - I just manned up & decided I was spending too much time fannying about & bought a bag off justgolfonline.
Bound to make me play better!
