118 Golf.... problem

I'm a bit worried. Got 2 orders outstanding with 118 golf.
Now they aren't returning emails and have a voicemail saying offices are unattended.
One order should have been delivered yesterday the other last week :D

Anybody know anything??? Hope they aint gone bump.
Also I paid via paypal, am I insured??

your ok if you've used pay pal so dont worry about that.
i've used them twice and never again. if you look at the reviews section, you'll find a post on bad service from 118.
 
I ordered a titleist umbrella from them a few weeks ago and it had still not arrived after two weeks. Phoned them up and they said it should be despatched soon and will arrive in approx two weeks. Sacked them off and got a refund, four weeks for an umbrella I don't think so..
 
Just to add to the above, they are USELESS!

I've ordered 2 bags from them, first one was in stock and took about 2 weeks of chasing up for them to post.
Second one after 2 weeks of chasing up they said they didnt have any in stock.. Communication is poor from them and customer service is shocking.

Quickest reply i had from them was when i asked for a refund and to cancel my order, suprisingly they were very efficient at this. I guess they get plenty of practice.
 
I have used them twice, first experience was just a small purchase, can't remember what, and all was fine then I ordered a putter and same as you guys, no communication and when you do get hold of someone they say waiting on stock when it said in stock on their site.

With most online retailers now a days I will phone them before I finalise the order to check that they do have the product in stock, 118 were on my list when buying a new bag last year, the site indicated it was available but when I phoned they told me they didn't have any and they would need to source it.

Personally, I'd get your refund and avoid in future.
 
I've used them to buy golf balls and the service was excellent. I ordered on the Monday, the balls were with me on the Tuesday.

I think it was balls, tees, towel that I got from them and that was fine. I can see where they are coming from in that they will only stock things that they think are guaranteed to sell and they don't want supplies of clubs, clothing kicking about that may or may not sell. I get that.

What I don't get is why the sell under the pretence that the buyer will get their order within 3-5 days or even next day if the person pays for that. Just say, awaiting stock on the website and give the buyer the option of wether they are happy to wait to get the product at the price they're offering it at.
 
I've used them and they've been good and bad. Golf balls arrived very quickly but it seems they don't keep much stock beyond that and try to pile up orders and then dispatch them all together for different buyers.

That said, when I tried onlinegolf instead they were pretty slow too.

Lesson for me - if I need it now, go to a shop, if I can wait and want it cheaper order online.
 
I think with certain things - balls, gloves, etc you can use the internet but if you're buying clubs, shoes, etc then perhaps it's worth seeing if your pro will internet price match. That way you're guaranteed to get your more costlier purchases.
 
The problem with 118 in particular is they give you no indication that an item is out of stock when you order. I got a bag off them a few years back. They never even had it in stock and eventually admitted they take orders and then re-order directly from the manufacturer henc ethe 3-4 week lead times for some items. For that reason alone I won't use them and would rather go via my pro
 
I ordered a new powakaddy bag and paid for next day delivery as i wanted it for yesterdays medal.
They had it listed on the website as in stock :D

Not replying to mails or answering call is also very annoying.
The answer phone message constantly says offices are unattended.

Will try again tomorrow
