118 118 - how much??!!

The Cleveland fairies have been using our phone, and obviously didn't know that if you let 118 118 put you through they charge for the amount of time the call is routed through their system. No one else in our house has used 118 118 so it must be those damned fairies again - you know the ones, they are the same ones that think buying 2 and getting 3 when you only need 1 is a good bargain.

So little fairies, cough up the dosh!

I maintain the company mobiles in our place, the amount of times directory enquiries were called early on in my tenure were incredible, quick bit of edumacation and breakdown of what it will cost each member of staff next time and hey presto! we are 118118 "free".

The Phone Fairies When we used to go out someone used to break into our house without any damage, make £20 of phone calls, eat most of the food, let them selves out again and our kids didn't even notice them.

Not happy today, when I had to dial BT directory enquiries to get the number for....BT. How's that for good business. Charge a customer for giving them your number. Now, I wonder what would happen if I tried that with my customers...

Slightly on topic, i have a problem with 0870 numbers.. I get unlimited minutes on my mobile, but not to 08 numbers, so i always use this website: http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php

You can search for the proper geographic number for all 0871, 0870, 0844, 0845, 0800, 0808 numbers.

I'm just glad someone else pointed it out - and I'm not the only person that uses google for phone numbers!
