10th-12th June Getting away from Queenie's knees-up with loyal spongers & serfs

It worked well for the spongers 'Wedding' the other year, so.........
In an attempt to get away from, or at least reduce the exposure to the 3 days of pathetic, grovelling & brown nosing as well as the inevitable street parties & endless TV broadcasts I have researched a trip to the more 'grovel-free' North playing Open Comps at Fri... Seaham GC Pairs £20, Sat Carlisle GC Individual £15; Sun Kendal Pairs £20........ staying over night in the Penrith area...... well thats a basis & can be varied......anyone else for a get away??

There's also the possibility of visiting Dunbar GC, Goswick GC, & Roxborough GC...... but that's £125 for just the golf.... still well worth it to escape the POMES....

Id do the latter Dave, would have to be some other time as we're away then.

LOL.... nice to have a response of any kind really Craig ...... its an attractive trip at an attractive price with a handy Travel Lodge at Berwick.... will certainly look at getting a car load together it if my 'Get-away' fails....will keep you in the loop :thup:
