Got the blessing of MikeH to post this. 
As some of you know, the Yorkshire Golf forum celebrated its 1st anniversary on Sunday. Doesn't seem like one year has passed since the idea of a small forum for the golfers of Yorkshire came into being.
Not a massive forum or anything on the scale of GM but I am very pleased with what has developed. Throughout the year I, and others have met some terrific blokes, played golf and on the whole, had a good laugh and a joke.
I organised a caption competition as a means of giving something back to the members who had helped to build the forum. MikeH very kindly donated a few Golf Monthly Centenary merchandise items as prizes for the competition. Thanks again Mike, wonderful gesture.
The competition was run, the prizes claimed, and most of the prizes already distributed.
The purpose of this post is obviously to express thanks to the Yorkshire Golf forum members (many are GM members too!!!) and also to thank MikeH and his team for their generosity. We are indeed very lucky to have the GM forum. Essentially a golf magazine which "gives something back" to it's readers and more to the point it's forum members and others who simply have a keen interest in this game we all love.
